Dillo Option Activated

AUSTIN, TX, February 9, 2011

The US Navy has activated the Option on Kuma Signals LLC’s Phase I contract to extend JTRS radio operation in extreme environments. The Phase I project is being funded by the Joint Program Executive Office (JPEO) Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) through the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR).

“The activation of this Option validates our work in the Base contract to develop and test the Dillo platform, and puts us in a strong position for Phase II,” said Kuma Signals CEO Steven Peters.

The competitive Phase II contract is worth up to $750,000.

The Option, which is a bridge between Phase I and Phase II funding, will last for three months, during which Kuma will develop a real-time software radio platform for testing and verification of their Dillo design.
